The officers and staff of Teen Voices of Democracy want to assure our readers that the content of this collection of articles and opinions by teenagers will conform to the highest professional journalistic standards and ethics.

As with other civic, citizen, public and participatory journalism efforts, Teen Voices offers news and opinions of the people, by the people and for the people. Teen Voices of Democracy is a working example of the interdependence of journalism and democracy.

To our young readers, we hope you will find the content written by teenage citizen-journalists to be interesting and informative. Further, we hope what you read on this website will help you navigate your busy daily lives and offer you an opportunity to express your own viewpoints and responses about what you are reading.

To sign up as a youth citizen journalist, please contact us. All teenagers are invited send us your opinions and articles. We will respect your viewpoints and will allow any informed opinion that avoids libel and obscenity and respects the privacy and freedom of speech of others.
